I live in a small town in Wisconsin's Door Peninsula. There are farms galore. There are many silos - standing alone - their partners (barns) long ago having met their demise. These solo silos remain as monuments to the daily toil that kept them filled. This particular silo had been painted with a waterscape that reflected Lake Michigan that lies beyond. Weather has turned the paint into a rich aqua patina. The low angle of the setting sun created a haunting mage.
