"Who were you?" is based on a bird (actually a cardinal) that continually visits our windows - as if it's an ancestor that has come to visit. In the Native American culture, the crow holds special significance as ancestors visiting and communicating from the afterlife. In Hinduism as well. Anyway, I've had enough friends who have had indications of "past life" experiences that it causes me to wonder about myself and others - "Who were you?"
